The UAE Lottery has officially transitioned from a digital-only service into the physical retail space, opening its first land-based venue in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
This landmark opening allows players over the age of 18 to purchase draw tickets for popular games such as Lucky Day Draw and Pick 3 in person for the first time.
Elevating the Physical Player Journey
The new retail location is designed to provide a seamless transition for players who were previously limited to the online platform. According to reports from Gulf News, the UAE Lottery has prioritized a high-fidelity customer experience:
“From bold visuals to intuitive layouts, every detail has been considered to make the customer journey smooth and engaging. High-visibility signage and an open, welcoming interior support consistent footfall, while interactive displays and helpful staff ensure each visit is both informative and enjoyable.”
The lottery remains under the strict regulation of the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), emphasizing a strong commitment to responsible play:
“The UAE Lottery provides a range of tools and resources to help participants make informed choices, ensuring a safe, fun, and fair lottery environment.”
A Platform for Future Casino Resorts
The move toward land-based lottery coincides with ambitious plans from global casino giants. MGM Resorts International CEO Bill Hornbuckle recently discussed the firm’s non-gaming management agreement with Wasl Hospitality in Dubai, which could eventually serve as a “platform for a casino someday.”
Hornbuckle remarked on the strategic outlook for Dubai:
“Longer term, we’re excited by particularly where the airport is and where it’s going. We think Dubai is the marketplace there. We’re comfortable just having a management agreement to manage something we think is a real brand extender for now, and we’ll see.”
Meanwhile, Wynn Resorts has resumed construction on Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, which is poised to become the country’s first fully regulated casino resort.
