In a landmark move for regional industrial diversification, Asia Pioneer Entertainment (APE) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with world-leading card manufacturer Cartamundi.
Signed during the Macau International Environmental Cooperation Forum & Exhibition, the deal marks the official debut of the “Global Brand – Made in Macau” initiative, aiming to revitalize local manufacturing through high-tech, sustainable processes.
Greener Production and Market Entry
The partnership focuses on introducing advanced, sustainable manufacturing technologies to Macau. Cartamundi, known for legendary global brands like Bicycle and BEE, intends to use the partnership with APE to establish a localized production footprint that adheres to the strictest international environmental standards.
This move is significant as it allows Cartamundi to enter a Macau market that has historically been dominated by a single local supplier, thereby increasing competition and innovation.
Herman Ng, Chief Executive of APE, highlighted the broader economic impact of the project:
“The technologies and processes that the two organizations were planning to bring into the region were beneficial to the economy and would lay the groundwork for new standards in sustainable production. It’s a win for green innovation and for the diversification of Macau’s economy.”
Jason Pearce, Director of Cartamundi APAC, noted that Macau’s unique position as a gateway to Asia makes it the ideal platform for the company’s next phase of global expansion.
For APE, the deal is a core component of its 2026 strategy to diversify beyond the distribution of electronic gaming equipment into green manufacturing, technical integration, and premium product development. This partnership sets a new benchmark for how international brands can collaborate with local entities to drive sustainable industrial growth.
