The iGaming market in Ontario, Canada launched on the 4th of April, and according to PointsBet, an online sportsbook provider, the first bet ever was recorded just 50 seconds after going live, making it a huge success. This only further confirms the predictions by many gaming experts that the launch of this iGaming scene is going to be a rather successful venture for the Canadian state. Moreover, a total of 16 online gambling operators went live on April 4th with the approval of iGaming Ontario. However, there is also a list of operators registered to operate with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario but still haven’t managed to come to terms with iGaming Ontario.

Considering that the population of the Canadian province is roughly 15 million, Ontario will generate around $800 million in revenue in just one year. Consequently, this was enough for a plethora of Canadian online gambling operators to request legal permission to operate. The list includes online gambling providers such as Rush Street Interactive, Bragg Gaming Group, MGM Resorts, Gan Limited and Penn National Gaming.

Driven by the massive success of the launch of the iGaming market in Ontario, and perhaps the fact that the first bet was placed in just 50 seconds, Bragg Gaming Group revealed that it “borrowed” its iGaming management platform for player accounts to a new online casino, 711.nl, as well as access to exclusive content. Regulated solely for the Dutch iGaming market, this is the fifth brand in total that is backed by technology by the Bragg Gaming Group, specifically for the Netherlands.

According to Bonusfinder and a statement made back in December of 2021, the climate in Ontario has everything that it takes to become the number one online gambling hub on the entire North American continent. As a company that specializes in iGaming affiliate marketing, Bonusfinder highlights several key points as to why the iGaming scene in Ontario would bloom, with a specific emphasis on the diversity of the competition, the size of the population and the generosity of the bonuses and the promotions as the most important.
