
PhilWeb Corp is significantly deepening its involvement in the Philippines’ rapidly expanding online gaming sector through a major strategic partnership with Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc., the operator of the world-renowned Okada Manila.
In an announcement on Thursday, PhilWeb confirmed it would serve as the technology and content provider for the integrated resort’s new branded digital platform, ‘Okada Play.’
Under the terms of the agreement, PhilWeb will deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end online gaming solution. This includes the deployment of a full suite of high-quality gaming content, the underlying platform infrastructure, customer service systems, and dedicated marketing support.
For Okada Manila, the launch of ‘Okada Play’ is a deliberate move to extend its luxury brand identity beyond the physical casino floor and into the pockets of the growing number of digital players across the Philippines.
A Move Toward Digital Convergence
The launch follows a challenging year for the physical resort, which saw its gross gaming revenue (GGR) dip by over 20% in the previous fiscal year.
Nobuki Sato, President and COO of Okada Manila, framed the partnership as a critical component of the group’s recovery and digital transformation:
