IGT PlaySports has renewed its partnership with Boyd Gaming, entering a three-year extension that will see the supplier continue to support both online and retail sportsbook operations in Nevada through 2028.

The collaboration between the two companies began in 2018 and has since expanded to include retail sports betting operations across nine states.

As part of the partnership extension, Boyd Gaming will proceed using IGT PlaySports Kiosks at 10 of its retail sportsbook venues throughout Nevada, as this renewal further cements IGT’s long-term role as a key technology provider for Boyd Gaming’s sports betting portfolio.

This renewed agreement with IGT PlaySports comes as Boyd Gaming continues to strengthen its technology infrastructure, following the company’s recent decision to implement Agilysys InfoGenesis POS across 28 of its venues, and thus, boost operational efficiency and customer experience.

When it comes to finances, Boyd also reported a solid start to the year, with the company reporting Q1 revenue of $991.6 million, marking a 3.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, IGT continues to expand its presence in Nevada and the overall US market, which, in addition to the Boyd Gaming partnership renewal, IGT PlayDigital also extended its partnership with Golden Nugget earlier in 2025.

Moreover, May was a huge month for IGT, with the company securing the Italian Lottery licence and receiving regulatory approval from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in the UAE.

Consequently, these developments further underline the company’s ongoing efforts to establish itself as a top player across global regulated markets.

Bob Scucci, Boyd Gaming VP of Race & Sports Operations, commented:

Boyd Gaming is pleased to announce our decision to continue powering our retail and mobile sportsbooks in Nevada with IGT PlaySports technology. As the core technology of our sports betting offering in Nevada, IGT PlaySports’ platform enables us to evolve Boyd Sports in ways that deliver incremental value to our players and seamlessly scale our offering to address new business opportunities.

Joe Bertolone, IGT’s SVP of Sports Betting, said:

IGT PlaySports looks forward to continuing our close partnership with Boyd Gaming in Nevada for three additional years and helping them engage players across channels in the most mature, competitive sports betting market in the US. IGT PlaySports continues to invest in and grow our footprint in Nevada. The performance, reliability and scalability of our technology stack and self-service betting technologies ensure our customers benefit from the most comprehensive B2B solution in North America.
