DraftKings and ESPN have unveiled a revolutionary account-linking feature ahead of the NCAA March Madness tournament. Revealed at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, the integration allows fans to sync their sportsbook and broadcaster accounts for a streamlined experience.
Personalized Betting for the Tournament Challenge
The centerpiece of the integration is the “Bet Your Bracket” feature. Fans who create a bracket in the ESPN Tournament Challenge will automatically receive tailored betting suggestions and wagers aligned with their predictions within the DraftKings app. Users who link their accounts will also receive a free month of ESPN Unlimited.
Stephanie Sherman, CMO of DraftKings:
“DraftKings and ESPN share a deep passion for sports and a commitment to enhancing how fans engage with the moments that matter most. Integrating account linking with ESPN is a natural step in creating a more seamless, connected platform for fans”.
The Road to the Super App
This partnership with ESPN is part of DraftKings’ broader strategy to launch its “Super App,” DraftKings Sports & Casino.
Mike Morrison, VP of ESPN Betting & Fantasy, emphasized the unmatched level of personalization:
“The Bet Your Bracket feature during March Madness is just the start. Soon fans will be able to seamlessly track upcoming, live and settled bets within the ESPN app and on ESPN.com and receive bets and timely promotions based on their favourite sports, teams, players and fantasy rosters”.
