eCOGRA, the internationally-recognized and independent testing agency has been authorized by the Secretaria De Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance to provide its services and operate as a certifying body for online games, live gaming studios, and betting systems in Brazil.
With this latest authorization by the Secretria De Prêmios e Apostas (SPA), eCOGRA boosted its already impressive global presence to 39 online gambling administrations, including South American jurisdictions such as Mendoza, Colombia, Buenos Aires City and Province, Peru, and as of now, Brazil.
As a result of the latest expansion, Brazilian software developers and operators within the territory of Brazil can now use the certification and testing services of eCOGRA to comply with the regulations and laws of any state in which they operate.
With more than two decades of experience and expertise in the realm of online gambling certification, eCOGRA is more than welcome in South America’s largest country, a strategic move that is saluted by the entire iGaming community in Brazil.
This is because the biggest winners in this situation are the citizens of Brazil, as eCOGRA is known for its high standards when it comes to testing, as well as its uncompromising approach to ensuring a safe, transparent, and fair gaming environment for online gambling enthusiasts.
As per the words of Bradley Khoury, the CTO of eCOGRA, the approval from the Brazilian Ministry of Finance is much more than just a testament to the dedication of the agency to the “highest standards of competence and quality”, but it also marks a new chapter in the rich history of the company.
Moreover, Khoury further states that the company is eager to tackle the fast-expanding and dynamic Brazilian market, and more importantly, transfer its experience, knowledge, and cutting-edge testing services that the testing agency offers in other “highly regulated jurisdictions”.
We look forward to working closely with Brazilian operators and interested parties to ensure a safe and fair gaming environment for all players. Brazil offers a dynamic and rapidly growing market, and we are excited to contribute to its development. Our goal is to ensure that Brazilian players have access to certified iGaming experiences, akin to what has successfully been implemented in other highly regulated jurisdictions.
