Conor Grant has officially announced his intention to resign as the Chair of Racecourse Media Group (RMG) at the conclusion of 2026.
Grant, who has led the organization representing 37 British racecourses and the Racing TV platform, will finish his tenure citing a need to balance increasing professional commitments and international travel.
Refining Strategy and Leadership
Grant’s tenure, which began with his appointment as Chair in October 2023, has been characterized by strategic sharpening and significant investment in the group’s leadership team. Under his guidance, RMG maintained resilient financial results despite the wider economic volatility affecting the media and horseracing sectors.
Reflecting on his departure, Conor Grant stated:
“After careful consideration, I believe the end of my first term is the right moment to conclude my tenure as Chair of RMG due to increasing work commitments and travel to the US. It has been a genuine privilege to chair the business over the last three years. CEO Nick Mills and his management team are making great progress delivering for our Shareholders. We have sharpened the strategy, invested in our leadership team, and continued to build on strong foundations.”
A Legacy of Strength
RMG CEO Nick Mills praised Grant’s contribution to the organization’s long-term health:
“Conor’s leadership has played a pivotal role in strengthening RMG and setting the business up for long‑term success. He leaves with our sincere thanks and best wishes for the future.”
Grant expressed absolute confidence in the company’s current momentum, stating that RMG is in its strongest position yet as it prepares for its next phase of development.
