Cryptocurrency poker pioneer CoinPoker has announced its most ambitious tournament series to date: the World Poker Masters (WPM).
Featuring a staggering $25 million in total guaranteed prize pools, the series is designed to attract a global audience of high-stakes and recreational players alike, marking a significant escalation in the platform’s competitive offerings.
The $2.5M Main Event and Series Highlights
The centerpiece of the WPM is a $2.5 million guaranteed Main Event with a $530 buy-in—the largest single prize pool in the platform’s history. The event utilizes a multi-flight structure, with Day 1 flights occurring every Sunday throughout the series, concluding with a final flight on May 31. This format allows players to enter multiple flights, carrying only their largest chip stack forward to the Day 2 finale on June 1.
Complementing the Main Event of the World Poker Masters (WPM) are several marquee tournaments:
- $1.5K CoinMasters Bitcoin High Roller: $1,000,000 guaranteed.
- $215 CoinMillion: $1,000,000 guaranteed.
- $55 Mini Main Event: $500,000 guaranteed.
Engagement Features and Leaderboards
To drive continuous participation, CoinPoker is introducing $500,000 in dedicated leaderboards. This includes a $75,000 Champions Leaderboard and $425,000 in weekly prizes, split between high-tier ($109+) and low-tier ($11–$88) buy-in levels.
The series will also debut the “Trophy Cabinet,” a new profile feature that allows users to permanently display their tournament victories and milestones. This gamification layer is intended to foster community prestige and enhance long-term player engagement. A “Warm Up Stage” pre-series will run from April 26 to May 2, offering players the chance to win seats through micro-stakes satellites and feeders.
