Trusted government security printer and lottery infrastructure manager Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited (CBN) has finalized a milestone technology agreement with enterprise software provider Comtrade Gaming.
The landmark core systems contract initiates the complete migration of CBN’s entire regulated online lottery and gaming infrastructure throughout Central America and the Caribbean over to Comtrade’s proprietary platform stack.
Enhancing Core Infrastructure Performance and Scalability
Under the terms of the structural agreement, the incoming software platform will serve as the central operating engine for CBN’s multi-vertical digital assets. The migration encompasses the group’s regional online lottery drawings, digital sportsbooks, and online casino portfolios, explicitly engineered to elevate baseline processing performance, data scalability, and overarching operational efficiency.
While both enterprise teams have chosen not to disclose the specific financial values, deployment timelines, or the exact sovereign jurisdictions and operator contracts bound within the geographic scope, the technical transition marks a definitive shift away from CBN’s legacy proprietary technologies. The joint technical divisions executed the database migration smoothly, ensuring complete data integrity and compliance continuity across the Caribbean and Central American digital casino networks.
Replicating Government-Grade Sovereignty and Trust
Steven Valentine, Chief Commercial Officer at Comtrade Gaming, highlighted that managing the technological transition for a highly respected government vendor underscores the robustness of their underlying iGaming software:
