This multi-year extension reinforces Sportradar’s long-term commitment to professional basketball in Puerto Rico, utilizing advanced technology, real-time data, and industry-leading integrity solutions to drive the league’s international growth.
Basketball currently stands as the most wagered-upon sport within the Puerto Rican market and ranks as the second most popular sport for bettors across the entire LATAM region. Recognizing this immense potential, Sportradar continues to hold the exclusive global betting and gaming audiovisual (AV) and data rights for all BSN basketball competitions.
The agreement also includes non-exclusive rights for coaching and talent scouting, aimed at strengthening fan engagement and the league’s visibility in international markets.
Technological Backbone for Integrity and Performance
Central to the partnership is the provision of Sportradar’s Integrity Services. This includes the deployment of the proprietary Universal Fraud Detection Service (UFDS AI), which provides comprehensive, real-time betting market surveillance to protect the league from betting-related corruption.
Furthermore, BSN Puerto Rico will integrate a suite of performance and management tools, such as Synergy Stats and the Competition Management Platform, to streamline league operations, enhance performance analysis, and ensure strict regulatory compliance.
