The newly developed Betsuna brand has officially debuted as a fully integrated, three-vertical gaming platform. The brand is operated directly under ProgressPlay Limited’s existing UKGC and Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licenses.
A Single-Account, Three-Vertical Debut
Betsuna launched on May 22, 2026, targeting players in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with access extended to other regulated European markets via ProgressPlay’s MGA license. The brand offers sports betting, slots, live dealer games, and bingo rooms on a single account and wallet, with localized payment methods and multilingual support in place.
ProgressPlay Limited is registered in Malta (company registration C58305) with its head office in Limassol, Cyprus. It holds MGA license MGA/B2C/231/2012, issued on April 16, 2013, and is licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 39335.
Under its UKGC remit, the operator’s casino remote authorization has been active since November 1, 2014, sports betting since December 17, 2018, and bingo since August 23, 2024, the latter authorization underpinning the bingo vertical in this launch.
For Betsuna, this means ProgressPlay acts not merely as a technology vendor but as the named operator of record—directly accountable to regulators for compliance across localized web versions, payment gateways, and multilingual player support. The platform also holds a Remote Bookmaker’s License from Ireland’s Revenue Commissioners (Licence Ref 1015737), enabling its Irish-market operation.
Strict Compliance Infrastructure
Responsible gambling tools are available in every Betsuna player account, including deposit limits, time-outs, and self-exclusion. The launch follows a period of heightened regulatory scrutiny: on August 21, 2025, the UKGC announced that ProgressPlay had been issued a £1 million fine for breaches of anti-money laundering (AML) requirements and social responsibility failings, identified during a compliance assessment covering the period August 2021 to August 2024. ProgressPlay was also required to undergo a third-party audit within six months of the license review concluding.
It was the second such enforcement action against the operator: a previous case in 2022 resulted in a £175,718 fine for similar failings. According to Gaming Intelligence, ProgressPlay holds licenses covering 134 gambling websites under its UKGC record, of which 18 are currently active.
A combined sportsbook, casino, and bingo offering from day one is designed to capture multiple player demographics without the friction of separate account registration. ProgressPlay’s white-label model absorbs compliance, technical, and regulatory overhead on behalf of partner brands, a structural response to the rising cost of operating in the UK market.
A ProgressPlay spokesperson stated that Betsuna is:
“…exactly the type of brand the platform was built for, with the player experience prioritized from the outset across all three verticals and markets.”
