A new livestream platform called YGS Live, led by well-known Philippine esports figure Julius Mariano (Banoobs), has stepped into the center of the country’s iGaming scene with a direct goal: to bring creators together and ensure all content aligns exclusively with PAGCOR-licensed operators.
The launch addresses the rapid expansion of the creator economy, much of which has occurred outside regulated channels, creating challenges for consumer safety and market credibility.
YGS Live positions itself as a broadcast network focused on iGaming and entertainment content, offering stability and a higher standard of compliance for content creators. Julius Mariano’s vision is to establish Filipino streamers as respected global voices by mandating that promotion must only be tied to approved and regulated operators.
This principle aims to eliminate the risks associated with illegal platforms, which weaken the market and expose both viewers and creators.
The platform emphasizes responsible iGaming as a core duty for all participants. Creators are encouraged to inform audiences and avoid harmful norms, building a gaming environment that is both safe and predictable.
This strict line is intended to ensure that the creators’ visibility benefits the legal ecosystem rather than the illegal one, which often uses unregulated content to attract players.
To immediately galvanize this new community, YGS Live is launching the Battle of the Streamers, a new international iGaming competition featuring a prize pool of PHP 11 million.
The tournament, running every Saturday from November 15 and culminating at City of Dreams Manila in January, requires all participating influencers to exclusively support PAGCOR-licensed platforms.
This acts as a foundation for the platform’s aim to separate licensed, credible content from the noise of unregulated promotion. The next few months will demonstrate whether this movement can gain enough influence to reshape content behavior across the wider creator landscape.
