After the triumphant debut in 2024, the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime returns to Cyprus for round two, and fans and players have many reasons to be excited.
Scheduled for 13-17 March at the breathtaking Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa, the 2025 edition of the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship comes with a $1,000 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of a whopping $1 million.
Moreover, this year’s edition of the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship is specifically designed to provide players with a lot of possibilities to win their ticket to Day 2. Starting with five flights, this year’s schedule promises to be even more legendary than the previous year’s.
- Day 1A, 1C, and 1D – 40,000 starting stack, 40-minute levels, and late registration open for nine levels.
- Day 1B and 1E (Speed Flights) – Same starting stack, but with 20-minute levels for those who like a faster-paced game.
From here, the Day 1 flight is scheduled to play down until 12.5% of the field remains, which gives players even more chances to win, as anyone who wins chips will be already in the money. In other words, just make sure to get past Day 1, and you are guaranteed to win money.
All players who survive Day 1 will return for Day 2, where the levels extend to 60 minutes.

The first winner of the WPT Prime Cyprus Championship was Romanian poker professional Tudor Purice, who managed to beat 1,202 players to win the inaugural title and go home with the main prize of $183,270.
Now, the WPT Cyprus edition returns with another hefty prize pool and a field stacked with poker professionals from all around the world, promising yet another memorable edition of this relatively new poker event.
