
The PartyPoker Tour Birmingham ends successfully after a memorable week of poker, entertainment, and high-stakes action. Attracting a total of 1,673 entries and generating a total prize pool of £336,020, the festival is being marked as a significant success.
The most compelling story of the week was the victory in the £500 Main Event £100,000 GTD. Not only did Tai Hoangwin the Main Event to secure his place in PartyPoker Tour history, but he also found himself heads-up against Robert Douras in the £150 Mini Main Event £50,000 GTD earlier in the festival.
A recap of the final day’s action on Sunday, October 19th, highlights the event’s thrilling conclusion. To kick off the day at 11 AM, the final Day 1 flight of the PLO Masters attracted 21 entries, with six players advancing. At midday, the NLH Bounty commenced, and PartyPoker Ambassador Matt Staples took home the trophy and the top prize of £1,325 plus £1,700 in bounties.
At 2 PM, the Final Table of the £500 Main Event started, accompanied by a Live Stream. As the day progressed, eliminations began with Tony Pearce, followed by Timothy Slater, Nicholas Gott, Michael Casson, Joshua Curry, Robert Douras, and James Fowler. The final battle was between Jiten Chauhan and Tai Hoang. In the end, Hoang emerged victorious, claiming the trophy, £27,420 in prize money, and the prestigious PartyPoker Tour Champion title, joining the tour’s Hall of Fame.
The afternoon action continued at 4 PM with the final day of the PLO Masters, where Benjamin Sweetman won the trophy and £5,695. At the same time, the NLH High Roller 7-Max attracted a field of notable professionals, with Siddharth Sudunagunta ultimately securing the trophy and £11,530.
Evening events wrapped up the festival. At 5 PM, the PLO Masters 4/5/6 began, with Florin-Alexandru Duda winning £1,410. Finally, at 7 PM, the NLH Last Chance Turbo closed out the series, with Lakis Xydhias winning the trophy and £1,100.
