iGaming developer RubyPlay has announced a major restructuring of its operating model, shifting to a “layered content ecosystem” that unites five distinct studios under a single technological framework.
The move is designed to enhance scalability and allow for specialized, market-focused content creation while leveraging shared infrastructure.
A Unified Framework
The new ecosystem is anchored by RubyPlay Studio and supported by four additional entities: Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, Xslots, and a dedicated studio for bespoke content. While each studio maintains “creative autonomy,” they all operate on the same distribution and technology rails, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Koala Games, which went live in July 2025, has already demonstrated the success of this model with hit titles like Voltage Blitz Vortex.
Strategic Scalability
Tsachi Maimon, CEO of RubyPlay, explained the vision behind the transformation. “Since joining RubyPlay, it’s been clear to me that the company’s strengths lie in the combination of creative independence and a shared foundation,” Maimon said. “Structuring the business as a layered studio-based ecosystem allows each studio to focus on its own markets and creative direction… This structure allows RubyPlay to scale its operations more efficiently.”
Maimon added that the new bespoke studio will allow the company to “collaborate more closely with operators and deliver content that is adaptable to their needs,” strengthening RubyPlay’s position as a flexible partner in the iGaming sector.
