Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming have extended their education support initiatives for Team Members by introducing new scholarship initiatives and debt repayment.
In just one week, more than 100 Team Members have registered with the student debt repayment program. Only full-time employees can qualify for the student loans and receive up to $1,000 per year to their debt and be fully paid by the company without any potential requirement.
On top of this, the Bill Keena Honorary Scholarship program also supports Team Members who pursue vocational education or college education in management roles and below, including their dependents and/or family members.
Both full-time and part-time Team Members are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in tuition assistance, and this includes covering books, fees, and tuition, with candidates who are accepted into the Rivers Casino’s Dealer School also receiving certification and paid training.
This scholarship, administered by Scholarship America, was created in honour of the company’s retired Chief Operating Officer, and works together with the existing awards of Rivers Casino, which have awarded more than $7 million to more than 500 students up to this point.
An interesting fact about Rush Street Gaming is that it currently has more than 6,000 Team Members across 5 casinos.
Dawn Reynolds Pettit, Chief HR Officer at Rush Street Gaming and Rivers Casino, commented:
Education is invaluable, but debt can be stressful. We’re proud to help Team Members crush those college loans, achieve their financial goals sooner and invest in their future. As an industry leader in offering this benefit, we’re committed to helping our Team Members make their student loan debt a thing of the past.
