They say all good things come to an end, and in some cases that may be true, as yesterday was the grand final of the first season of the PartyPoker Tour. But, before ending let’s go through the last day together and look at some of the details that made it such an incredible first season.

At 11am, Day 1D of the PLO Masters kicked off, attracting a total of 32 entries. PartyPoker Tour Team member, The Hendon Mob Founder, Joe Beevers, entered the field.

At midday the NLH Mystery Bounty commenced, attracting a total of 43 entries. PartyPoker Tour Team member Sam “Hoooooooold” Acheampong, PartyPoker Tour Main Event Winner Getnet Kassa and Rebecca Hardisty were also playing. 13 bounties were given out, but the majority of bounties were won by Jonathan Wong (£2,250), Cillin O’Donnell (£1,500), Ivan Ivanov (£300) and our very own PartyPoker Tour Team member Sam “Hoooooooold” Acheampong (£250), totalling £4,300 in bounties alone. The total prizepool generated was £4,945 and Jonathan Wong, not only did he accumulate the majority of bounties, he also won the tournament.

At 2pm the final two tables of the Main Event kicked off, with 16 players left in play. Around 2:30pm, the live stream also began, with commentators galore Ben Shannon and Guy Taylor keeping us all entertained and on our toes throughout the day. If you were unable to follow the action live, fear not, you can still see what went down on the Official PartyPoker YouTube Channel and the Official PartyPoker Facebook Page.

Around 4pm the final table was determined, full details can be found here. And although new hopes were up for a double win for Andre Leal, winner of the Mini Main Event here in London, the title and £27,780 were ultimately taken by Thomas Sanderson after a five way deal and a final heads up against British pro Tony “The Enigma” Poulengeris. Congratulations to Thomas on securing his win and we look forward to seeing them all in 2026.

Next on the list at 4pm was the High Roller, which attracted 69 entries and saw a plethora of stars, including the likes of PartyPoker Tour Member Joe Beevers, Triple Crown Winner Niall Farrell, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Jaime Staples and PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event Winner Deniz Orhan. The total prizepool generated was £62,100 and in the end Turkish Alper Gocer took home the title, the trophy and winnings of £19,250.

At 4pm Day 2 of the PLO Masters kicked off. The combination of days came to 138 entries, smashing the £20,000 and generating a total prizepool of £29,670. 35 players came back to Day 2 but it was Oliver Hutchins who took home the title, the glory and £7,250 in prize money.

At 5pm there was more PLO action with PLO Masters 4/5/6. It attracted 43 entries and again our very own Sam “Hoooooooold” Acheampong was yet again amongst the players that entered. Generating a total prizepool of £5,375 the winner was Vadims Veksins, who has been a familiar name throughout the week and had won the Poker.Pro PL H.O.R.S.E. tournament earlier in the week.

At 7pm the NLH Last Chance Turbo was underway. It attracted 49 entries and generated a total prizepool of £6,125. The winner was Michail Damoulis, who took home £1,780.

And finally, to close the whole festival off nicely, PokerPRO sponsored the last tournament of the season with the Poker.Pro Sunday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty. It was really the last chance to pick up a trophy, the glory and have some extra fun before closing off an incredible year. 50 entries in total, generating a total prizepool of £1,250. And the players, PartyPoker Tour Team members Sam “Hoooooooold” Acheampong and Natalie Bromley, local Jordan Caplan, Rebecca Hardisty, Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev, PartyPoker Tour Manchester Winner Deniz Orhan, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Jaime Staples and Steffan Stroffek all decided to join this last bit of fun of the year.

But, and it with great pleasure I say this, our very own PartyPoker Tour Team Sam “Hoooooooold” Acheampong picked up the LAST trophy of this first season.

But there is one final thing to determine before we walk down memory lane, the leaderboard. It has been a fierce fight, and up until last night everything was up for play, the fight was really between Alex “wishiper96” and PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event Winner Deniz Orhan, but in the end Alex won the top prize. See below the table and what each take home with them.

Now it’s time to go down memory lane, just a reminder of what was achieved during this first season:

  • Our Main Event, High Roller and PLO Masters all have the lowest rake in the industry.
  • PartyPoker Tour continues to be the only poker festival in Europe without deductions from the prize pool, admin fees, hidden fees or any % taken off the prize pool.
  • We welcomed more than 10,000 players.
  • We awarded more than £2,000,000 in prize pools.
  • We presented 94 trophies – each to a celebrated winner.
  • We awarded 1,562 PartyPoker tickets.

Essentially it has been one hell of a season, it could not have been possible without all the hard work from tournament staff, PartyPoker Staff members, media, photographers, support agents and of course the players. A huge thank you from everybody at PartyPoker, we are incredibly proud and grateful for an amazing first season and don’t worry we are not gone for long, next up Sheffield 27th January to 1st February. See you there!
