The PartyPoker Tour Birmingham event commenced this past weekend at the Genting Casino, Resorts World, launching with significant attendance and a vibrant atmosphere.
The PartyPoker Tour Birmingham series began in style on Saturday with Day 1A of the £150 buy-in Mini Main Event, which saw notable players like PartyPoker PRO Jaime Staples and PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown take to the felt.
The opening flight attracted a strong field of 121 entries, and by the end of the day, only 24 players had advanced to Day 2. Robert Douras established a commanding lead with 543,000 chips, followed by Ranveer Arora (434,000) and Imran Pirmohamed (413,000).
Saturday’s schedule also featured the £200 NLH Bounty tournament. The event drew 19 players, creating a £2,280 prize pool.
While Glenn Brown made a notable appearance, it was Eva Hola-Smith who emerged victorious, securing the £1,465 first-place prize and the champion’s trophy.
The day concluded with the Mini Mania satellite, where 68 participants successfully generated the 15 guaranteed seats for the £150 Mini Main Event.
A truly remarkable moment of the opening day was the participation of 99-year-old Alan Foster in the Mini Main Event, underscoring the timeless and inclusive appeal of live poker.
The high energy continued on Sunday, October 12th, with a busy slate of tournaments. The main attraction was Day 1B of the £50,000 guaranteed Mini Main Event, offering another opportunity for players to join the action.
In the evening, the schedule featured a £60 NLH Mystery Prize Draw, which included £1,000 in added prizes, and a final £30 Mini Mania satellite that awarded three more seats to the feature tournament.
With tournaments running at high capacity throughout the weekend, the event’s success was also a testament to the professional staff.
The team from the Poker Staff Network was instrumental in managing the busy tournament floor and ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
