The global iGaming technology provider SOFTSWISS has officially launched in the South African market through a major new project with local operator, Mzansibet.

The partnership marks the first time that both the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook and the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform have been launched together in the country.

The entry into South Africa required meticulous preparation to ensure full compliance with all local technical standards. SOFTSWISS’s products underwent a rigorous certification process with Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), a globally recognized independent testing lab.

Following this successful testing, the company’s software was officially approved for use by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, a key regulator in the region.

This launch is timed to capitalize on the rapid growth of South Africa’s iGaming sector, which is expanding at an annual rate of 20-25%, largely driven by the increasing use of mobile devices.

In line with this trend, SOFTSWISS has heavily focused on mobile optimization for its platforms to ensure a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience for Mzansibet’s players.

Max Trafimovich, a director at SOFTSWISS, commented on the launch:

Mzansibet entered the market with a bold ambition to become a top-tier brand – and we are not only proud to support that vision from day one, but also well-equipped to ensure its sustainable growth.

In addition to the backend certifications, the SOFTSWISS team also invested in localizing the frontend of the platform to meet the specific requirements of the South African market and player betting patterns.
