International Operator Shifts Strategic Focus Exclusively to Locally Regulated Markets, Effective October 1, 2026
Mozzartbet Group has announced that it will officially cease operating under its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence starting October 1, 2026. The strategic decision will see the discontinuation of the international betting portal Mozzart.com, which has operated under the Mozzartbet Malta Limited MGA licence (MGA/B2C/606/2018) since March 2019.
Impact on Partners and Affiliate Programme
In a notification issued to media partners on August 27, the company detailed the operational winding down of the platform:
“We regret to inform you that, following a strategic decision by management, Mozzartbet Malta Limited will cease its operations under its MGA licence and discontinue the Mozzart.com brand, including the affiliate programme operated under that brand. This decision follows our determination to focus exclusively on the markets in which we hold local licences and operate under local regulation.”
With Mozzart.com scheduled for closure on October 1, final affiliate commissions will be calculated based on activity generated through September 30, after which all tracking links will be deactivated via the MyAffiliates platform.
Core Operations Remain Unaffected
While Mozzartbet Malta operates out of St Julian’s, Malta, the broader corporate entity is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia, where it was founded in 2001 by Serbian entrepreneur Dejan Čakajac. Company representatives confirmed that the wind-down applies strictly to the MGA-licensed digital brand and does not impact operations in locally regulated jurisdictions.
Activities and retail networks across Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenya, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Romania, Croatia, and Ghana will continue entirely unchanged as the group pivots toward a locally licensed operating model.
