New Jersey’s gaming industry has reported another month of robust growth, with total revenue for June 2025 reaching $581.6 million, an impressive 18.4% increase compared to the same period last year. A
According to the latest figures from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), all three major verticals—land-based casinos, iGaming, and sports betting—posted year-on-year gains, continuing the state’s strong positive trend seen throughout the second quarter.
iGaming Continues Its Rapid Expansion. The online casino sector was once again a primary driver of growth, generating $230.7 million in revenue for June, up 23.5% from the prior year. The vast majority of this came from online slots and table games, which accounted for $228 million.
The state’s top operators saw significant gains, with FanDuel (partnered with Golden Nugget) leading the market at $53.3 million in iGaming revenue, a remarkable 48.2% increase. DraftKings (Resorts Digital) followed with $43.6 million, up 6.3%, while BetMGM (Borgata) reported a strong 35.3% gain to reach $30.2 million. Other notable performers included Caesars Palace Online, which grew 49.2% to $16.9 million.
Sports Betting Soars on Mobile Dominance Sports wagering revenue posted the largest percentage increase, rising 52.9% to $91.9 million.
This growth was almost entirely fueled by online platforms, which accounted for $91.2 million of the total. In stark contrast, retail sportsbook revenue dropped sharply by 48.5% to just $600,000, underscoring the market’s shift to mobile. Total sports betting handle for the month reached $790.4 million.
FanDuel (Meadowlands) continued its dominance in this vertical with $35.8 million in revenue. DraftKings followed with $24.3 million, while BetFanatics posted standout growth of 571.3% to hit $12 million in mobile revenue.
Land-Based Casinos Show Steady but Mixed Results Atlantic City’s casino-hotel properties reported $259 million in revenue, a respectable 6.1% increase. However, performance within the sector was mixed.
Revenue from table games surged by an impressive 26.9% to $76.2 million, but this was offset by a slight 0.7% decline in slot machine win, which remains the largest sub-sector. Among the properties, Borgata led all casinos with $76.7 million in win, up 19.4%, and Ocean Casino Resort grew 30.1% to $43.5 million.
Hard Rock Atlantic City, however, saw its revenue decline by 5.5%. While June’s overall state revenue was slightly lower than the record-setting $614.7 million in May, the strong year-on-year growth demonstrates continued momentum heading into the third quarter.
