The Malta Gaming Authority Cancels The License of Oddsfly

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has officially cancelled the gaming licence of Oddsfly, stating repeated financial and regulatory failures.

The decision comes from the company’s long-standing non-compliance with Maltese gaming laws, particularly its failure to settle substantial outstanding fees.

As per the investigation, Oddsfly reportedly owes a total of €104,814.52 in unpaid licence and compliance contributions, an amount that includes €75,000 in licence fees unpaid over three years and an additional €29,814.52 in compliance dues, all of which date back to August 2018.

The MGA initially suspended the company’s licence on 7 August 2018 under the licence number MGA/B2C/260/2014.

Despite the suspension, the MGA stated that Oddsfly still failed to fix the issues that led to the original enforcement action.

In a formal statement issued under the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations (S.L. 583.06), the Authority said the grounds for suspension remained unresolved, prompting the cancellation.

The MGA pointed to several violations, including failure to meet financial obligations, insolvency, and non-compliance with both regulatory and legal standards.

Moreover, the MGA has also said that Oddsfly remains liable for the unpaid balance, which will continue to accumulate interest until the company fully settles.

The Malta authority also emphasized that it retains the right to take additional legal or regulatory measures if Oddsify fails to pay the fine.

In related news, the MGA continued its commitment to maintaining regulatory standards in its jurisdiction after the regulator’s May 2025 approval of a new licence for Two Shepherds.
