Lotte Tour Development has reported a record-breaking year for its casino operations at Jeju Dream Tower. According to an unaudited financial report filed with the Korea Exchange, full-year casino sales for 2025 reached 476.62 billion won (approximately US$329.6 million), marking a massive 61.8 percent jump from 2024.
Surge in Visitors and Table Action
The foreigner-only casino on Jeju Island saw a flood of traffic, welcoming 590,332 players throughout the year—a 54.1 percent increase compared to the previous period. Table games proved to be the backbone of this success. For the full year, the table drop (the amount of money exchanged for chips) soared by 62.2 percent to nearly 2.46 trillion won.
December capped off the year with mixed but strong results. Casino sales for the month hit 40.97 billion won, up 73.8 percent year-on-year, despite a sequential dip from November’s highs. Table games generated approximately 38.86 billion won in December alone, underscoring the property’s ability to attract high-volume international play.
Hotel Lagging Behind Gaming
While the gaming floor fired on all cylinders, the hospitality side of the business painted a different picture. Cumulative hotel revenue for 2025 ended at 80.56 billion won, a 4.8 percent decline compared to 2024. Although December showed positive momentum with a 16 percent month-on-month increase in hotel sales, the disparity suggests that Jeju Dream Tower is increasingly relying on its gaming operations as its primary economic engine.
The figures confirm that 2025 was a definitive breakout year for the property, establishing Jeju Dream Tower as a dominant force in South Korea’s foreigner-only gaming market. As Lotte Tour heads into 2026, the challenge will be leveraging the massive influx of casino visitors to boost occupancy and revenue on the hotel side.
