The Jamul Indian Village has marked a major milestone in its economic development with the official opening of a new 16-story hotel tower at the Jamul Casino Resort.
This significant expansion transforms the property, located just east of downtown San Diego, into a full-service destination resort.
The project adds a 253,951-square-foot hotel featuring 200 rooms, which include 148 standard rooms and 52 luxury suites, significantly enhancing the guest experience.
Constructed by CW Driver Companies, the new hotel is seamlessly connected to the existing casino floor via a climate-controlled pedestrian skybridge.
Beyond the rooms, the tower introduces a host of high-end amenities designed to attract both gaming and leisure travelers.
These include an expansive 11,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck offering panoramic views, a full-service spa and salon for relaxation and wellness, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and new retail space.
The expansion also adds a new 4,800-square-foot restaurant and dedicated meeting and banquet facilities to host events and conferences.
Erica M. Pinto, Chairwoman of the Jamul Indian Village, spoke on the project’s importance, stating:

The hotel’s construction was a complex undertaking, requiring the relocation of the Tribal administration building and was completed while the casino remained fully operational.

The project was made possible by a $515 million financing package secured by the Tribe in April 2023 to fund projects aimed at enhancing its economic self-sufficiency.
