Betano Ambassador Gianis Antetokounmpo Unveils New Basketball Court in Rio

Last updated on June 11th, 2025

Betano, a leading online gaming brand owned by Kaizen Gaming, has revealed a newly refurbished basketball court in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro, with its global ambassador Giannis Antetokounmpo inaugurating the state-of-the-art facility.

The court, located at Praça Claudio Coutinho, received a full renovation developed by ALOB Sports and executed by Hoopers, including updates such as repairing surface damage, enhancing safety features, and modernizing infrastructure.

As a result, the court now features Betano’s branding and a unique custom artwork by Brazilian street artist Neto 78, which depicts Antetokounmpo in action across the playing surface.

As part of the inauguration, the “Greek Freak” and the two-time NBA MVP revelead a commemorative plaque.

Following the official ceremony, a local basketball group which regularly used the court before its renovation, “The Payback,” played the first official match, and since then, the court has been made available for full public use.

Giannis Antetokounmpo commented:

This court is more than just a playing field—it’s a place where future talent can be inspired. Public courts played a huge role in my journey, and I hope this one does the same for others.

George Daskalakis, Co-founder and CEO of Kaizen Gaming, said:

The choice of Giannis as our ambassador was a natural one from the beginning, as we have many things in common. We share a journey of humble beginnings in Greece, and through hard work, determination, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement, we have managed to expand our reach globally.

This initiative is part of Betano’s broader efforts in sports development.

As a major sponsor of various sports events, including Brasileirão Betano, Argentina’s Torneo Betano, UEFA Euro 2024™, and the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024™, Betano aims to support sport via infrastructure, sponsorships, and social impact.

Antetokounmpo and his family have been visiting Brazil since June 7, and are also enjoying cultural landmarks and will end their trip with a visit to Betano’s official offices in São Paulo on June 11.
