The UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, has announced a landmark partnership with Galaxy Macau Integrated Resort to host a series of live events in the region.
The four-year agreement will bring three UFC FIGHT NIGHT events to Macau, scheduled to take place at the state-of-the-art Galaxy Arena from 2026 through 2029.
This collaboration builds on the success of the UFC’s previous events in Macau and solidifies the city’s position as a key entertainment hub in China’s Greater Bay Area.
All events under the new agreement will be held at the Galaxy Arena, Macau’s largest indoor venue, which is known for its advanced production capabilities and unobstructed views.
The partnership aims to create an immersive fight week experience for fans, leveraging Galaxy Macau Integrated Resort’s extensive hospitality and entertainment offerings.
The first fight week of the multi-year deal will also feature the opening round of Season 5 of ROAD TO UFC, the highly successful tournament for the top MMA prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.
This platform provides a direct pathway for up-and-coming athletes to earn a UFC contract and has already contributed 18 Asian fighters to the organization’s roster, including notable Chinese athletes.
The deal comes after a series of sold-out UFC events in China, including last year’s UFC FIGHT NIGHT: YAN vs FIGUEIREDO in Macau, which demonstrated the strong and growing demand for live MMA in the region.
This long-term commitment is designed to cater to Asia’s passionate UFC fanbase and cultivate the next generation of talent.
Dana White, UFC President and CEO, said:
I’ve just returned from China and everything about it was incredible – the culture, the people and the athletes. This new partnership with Galaxy Macau couldn’t come at a better time. It’s great for fight fans in China and massive for the sport.
Kevin Chang, UFC Senior Vice President and Head of Asia, said:
In 2026, Macau will be the launchpad to UFC in Asia. Building on our wildly successful 2024 event, this long-term partnership with Galaxy Macau Integrated Resort solidifies our commitment to this region and its passionate fans. Together, we will deliver the pinnacle of mixed martial arts and cultivate the next generation of talent, right here from the heart of Macau.
Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer at Macau of Galaxy Entertainment Group, said:
We’re thrilled to partner with UFC, the world’s largest MMA promotion entity, to bring world-class fight nights to Galaxy Arena. This partnership reflects our ongoing support for the Macao SAR Government’s vision to integrate tourism and sports. MMA fans in Macau will now have the chance to witness top-tier action right here at home, while visitors can enjoy the city’s rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences.
