The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has announced the launch of a new, dedicated website for the upcoming European Safer Gambling Week 2025 (ESGW).

The initiative, designed as a comprehensive digital resource, aims to serve a wide range of stakeholders, including players, industry operators, and regulatory bodies, by consolidating essential information on responsible play into a single, accessible platform.

The timing of the website launch precedes European Safer Gambling Week, which is scheduled to take place from November 17–23, 2025.

This annual campaign is a collaborative effort by EGBA that unites online gambling operators, national regulators, and various support organisations from across the continent to elevate the focus on player protection and foster a culture of responsible gambling.

The newly introduced ESGW website is structured to maximise accessibility to critical support and educational tools. Key features include a dedicated Support Resources page, which offers extensive, multilingual listings of national helplines, self-exclusion schemes, and confidential support services.

Furthermore, an integrated Event Calendar allows visitors to track and register for conferences, webinars, and workshops scheduled throughout the week, encouraging participation in crucial industry dialogues.

A Player Guidance section provides practical advice on identifying warning signs, managing gaming activity, and maintaining control, reinforcing the core messages of responsible consumption.

EGBA, which represents leading licensed online gambling operators within the European Union, developed the site to streamline the process for individuals to find help and for partners to join the ESGW campaign. The organisation works closely with national and EU authorities to ensure a safe and well-regulated digital gambling environment.

In a push to expand the campaign’s influence, EGBA is actively inviting a broader coalition of stakeholders, including support groups, trade associations, and technology providers, to participate in ESGW25. To facilitate pan-European outreach, the website provides promotional materials available in 27 languages.

The success of the campaign is measurable; last year’s event saw involvement from 195 organisations across 26 countries, which collectively achieved a social media reach of over 3.1 million people through educational events and promotional activities.

This initiative remains a crucial element of EGBA’s commitment to promoting sustainable play and strong consumer protection in the European online gaming sector.

The EGBA:

European Safer Gambling Week continues to grow as a platform for collaboration and awareness. Our new website helps make information and resources more accessible than ever — ensuring players and stakeholders alike can take part in shaping a safer gambling environment across Europe.
