Fresh off a significant leadership overhaul, Philippine-based DigiPlus Interactive has announced its strategic entry into Latin America, with operations in Brazil slated to commence in September 2025.
The company is poised to capitalize on the nation’s newly regulated iGaming framework, becoming one of the latest international operators to enter the burgeoning market.
DigiPlus, the operator behind successful domestic brands like BingoPlus and ArenaPlus, views Brazil as a pivotal growth area.
The country boasts a population of over 200 million and an internet penetration rate approaching 90%. Citing figures from LCA Economic Consulting, DigiPlus highlighted the Brazilian iGaming sector’s substantial estimated market value of US$4.6 billion, a compelling factor in its expansion decision.
The move follows the Brazilian government’s finalization of its iGaming regulations in 2024, which established a clear legal and tax structure for licensed operators.
To power its Brazilian debut, DigiPlus will leverage its recently upgraded technical infrastructure, following a company-wide migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS) earlier this year. The company plans to introduce a diverse portfolio of livestreamed games, slots, and proprietary digital content tailored to local tastes.
A dedicated team has been established in Brazil, headed by Country Manager Graham Tidey, who was appointed in March, to ensure the product offerings align with cultural preferences and regulatory standards.
The expansion is a key part of the company’s global strategy, spearheaded by a new leadership team appointed in June. This includes Tommy Hu as Chief Executive Officer and former Ant Group executive Rick Li as Chief Digital Officer, who are tasked with driving digital innovation and international growth.
Eusebio Tanco, DigiPlus Chairman, commented:
We are excited to bring world-class entertainment to new markets, bringing the strengths and expertise that we have established in the Philippines. Our entry into Brazil is part of our strategic expansion program to usher in DigiPlus’s next phase of growth.
