The day saw a host of notable figures hitting the tables, including PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples and Team members Sam “Hooooold” Acheampong, Barry Carter, Natalie Bromley, Glenn Brown, and Rebecca Hardisty.
While Season 1 Leaderboard Winner Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev was in attendance, heads truly turned with the arrival of Mark “The Beast” Labbett and UK poker legend Tony “Tikay” Kendall, adding star power to an already bustling festival.
Mini Main Event: Day 1B Recap
Action kicked off at 2:00 PM with Day 1B of the £40,000 GTD Mini Main Event. The flight attracted 167 entries, with 25 players successfully navigating their way to Day 2.
Ishtiaq Ahmed emerged as the flight’s dominant force, bagging a massive 1.03 million chips. He was followed closely by Trung Tran (959,000 chips) and the aforementioned Alex Georgiev (611,000 chips).
Daniel Pilgrim Claims PLO Masters Title
At 6:00 PM, the four-card specialists took their seats for the PLO Masters Big O. The event drew 39 entries, generating a total prize pool of £4,875.
Despite the absence of PLO mastermind JJ Hazan, the field was competitive, featuring familiar faces such as Birmingham prize draw winner Grzegorz Staniszewski and Sky Poker legend Tony “Tikay” Kendall. Ultimately, Daniel Pilgrimsecured the victory, taking home the trophy and £1,420 in prize money.
Mini Main Event: Day 1C Recap
The final flight of the day, Day 1C, commenced at 8:00 PM. This session saw 98 entries, with 15 players surviving the cut. PartyPoker Team member Natalie Bromley was among those battling in the evening flight.
Emmanuel Mulemwa led the Day 1C counts with 558,000 chips, followed by Chenyi Lyu (520,000) and Csaba Kovacs(476,000).
Football Prediction Tournament Winner
The “Off the Felt” action continued with the Football Prediction Tournament, which saw 32 players test their knowledge on the PSG vs. Newcastle United Champions League match. Benjamin Liu was crowned the winner, earning a free Mini Main Event entry.

In a major announcement, the tour revealed that the PartyPoker Tour Team is expanding internationally. Daniel Garcia has been confirmed as the newest member joining the roster.
