The Brazilian betting operator, Esportes da Sorte, has signed a historic 12-month sponsorship agreement with the City of Salvador, a major cultural hub in Brazil.
The landmark deal, signed on Wednesday, names the betting website as an official sponsor for a portfolio of the city’s premier cultural events, starting in December 2025.
The comprehensive sponsorship package includes some of Brazil’s most iconic celebrations, most notably the Salvador Carnival, which is widely recognized as the world’s biggest street party.
The agreement also covers the massive New Year’s festival, Virada Salvador, as well as the City Festival, the Spring Festival, and Salvador Capital Afro, an event celebrating Black identity and culture.
This represents the company’s first official foray into sponsoring Salvador’s largest and most famous parties.
This partnership is a significant strategic expansion of Esportes da Sorte’s national sponsorship portfolio, which already includes other major cultural events like the Carnivals in Recife and Olinda.
By aligning with the Salvador Carnival, an event that in 2025 generated an economic impact of R$1.8 billion and over 250,000 jobs, the brand is placing itself at the forefront of Brazilian national culture.
Company executives have framed the agreement as more than just a branding opportunity, but as a long-term investment in enriching Salvador’s traditions and strengthening local culture.
By embedding its brand into the fabric of these iconic traditions, Esportes da Sorte aims to forge a deeper and more authentic connection with the Brazilian people while contributing to the country’s vibrant social and cultural economy.
