Top-tier sports betting operator Bwin has been named the Official Partner of the NFL in Spain.
This multi-year agreement comes at a pivotal moment for the league’s expansion into the country, as it precedes the first-ever NFL regular season game to be held in Spain.
The historic match is scheduled for November 16, 2025, at the iconic Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, and will feature a compelling matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins.
The partnership will officially debut at the Madrid game and is designed to provide Spanish fans with a range of unique and engaging NFL sporting experiences.
In addition to the regular season partnership, Bwin has also secured the rights to be the Official Betting Partner for the Super Bowl in Spain.
This dual focus aims to elevate the popularity of both the regular season and the championship game within the Spanish market.
Throughout the partnership, Bwin will offer fans a variety of activations, promotions, and personalized content to bring them closer to the action.
This collaboration is the latest in a series of strategic moves by the NFL to grow its European fanbase through partnerships with established, regulated betting operators.
Bwin already holds similar official partnerships with the NFL in Austria and Germany. The announcement also closely follows the news that the NFL has named Paddy Power as its official sportsbook partner for the UK and Ireland, underscoring the league’s commitment to building a strong and localized presence across the continent.
Curry Sloan, Bwin Managing Director for Canada, Iberia and Latin America, said:
Partnering with the NFL is an exciting milestone for Bwin in Spain, in a year when the league is celebrating its first game in Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu, one of the great temples of world sport. As one of the world’s most exciting sports leagues, the NFL shares our passion for competition, entertainment and fan engagement. Together, we will deliver unforgettable experiences and bring fans in Spain even closer to the action, always with a focus on safe and responsible gaming.
Brett Gosper, NFL Head of Europe and APAC, added:
We’re thrilled to be hosting our first-ever regular season NFL game in Madrid in November and are delighted to have Bwin on board as a new partner in the market, helping to create unique and exciting experiences for our growing fan base in Spain.
