As an official sponsor of the Rio Open 2026, Betnacional is launching an ambitious series of on-site activations designed to redefine fan engagement during the prestigious tournament.
The event, held from February 14 to 22 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro, coincides with Rio’s vibrant Carnival period, providing a unique backdrop for the brand’s immersive “experience hub”. This central booth is far more than a standard promotional stand; it is a meticulously designed space inspired by iconic clay-court tennis moments, specifically the historic atmosphere of Roland Garros 2000.
Creating Emotional Connections Through Sport
For Betnacional, this sponsorship is a strategic move to connect with the deep-seated emotions Brazilian fans hold for tennis.
Jorge Peixoto, Head of Brand Experience at Betnacional, emphasized that the company’s goals extend beyond simple logo placement:
“Being present at the Rio Open as an official sponsor reinforces Betnacional’s essence. We believe in sport as a platform for emotion, memory, and social transformation, and that is why we are present in different modalities, always supporting sports and events that connect with fans’ passion.”
Peixoto further clarified the brand’s vision for the nine-day event:
“The Rio Open is an international showcase that happens in Brazil, combining sportive excellence with entertainment-values that are part of our DNA. We intend to go beyond visibility by creating experiences that value the fans, celebrate the history of sport, and strengthen sports development in the country.”
Interactive Content and Legend Appearances
The activation hub will serve as a content creation studio, capturing behind-the-scenes testimonials and hosting the “search for the ultimate superfan” during the Rio Open 2026. Digital storytelling will play a major role, featuring projects like “Tennis narrated as football,” where the legendary Galvão Bueno applies his signature commentary style to historic tennis points.
The booth will also host brand ambassadors and former athletes, including footballer Márcio Amoroso and content creator André Balada, turning the space into a dynamic meeting point for idols and supporters.
Now part of Flutter Brazil and a sponsor of major entities like Cruzeiro and the FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcasts, Betnacional continues to cement its role as a pillar of Brazilian sports culture.
