Alea, a leading iGaming aggregator, has partnered with Continent 8, a top-tier cybersecurity company that specializes in iGaming, and acquired its cutting-edge cybersecurity services to asses and address potential vulnerabilities across its vast gaming network.
More specifically, Alea will engage Continent 8’s advanced Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) on its systems, an operation that aims to further strengthen the cybersecurity of Alea by addressing and identifying possible vulnerabilities.
Alea’s business-to-customer (B2C) gaming network is massive, to say the least, as it spans more than 150 providers and over 15,000 games at the moment of writing via a single API integration.
Considering the size of the B2C network of Alea which is a result of a substantial expansion in the past couple of years, Alea recognizes the need for improved security measures in order to ensure operational stability and above all, protect its connections.
By obtaining Continent 8’s VAPT services, Alea wants to evaluate both external and internal risks to its systems and, based on the findings, improve cybersecurity system efficiency.
The advanced VAPT services offered by Continent 8, provided via its dedicated C8 Secure cybersecurity branch, seek to enable an analytical approach to detecting risks and vulnerabilities in IT ecosystems.
Moreover, the VAPT process allows clients (such as Alea) to apply detailed measures to overcome identified risks, with the ultimate purpose of reducing any potential security exposure.
Eduard Fumás Cases, the Chief Technology Officer at Alea, commented on this collaboration, highlighting that the main goal of this partnership is cybersecurity as it underlines Alea’s commitment to “creating a secure, robust, and scalable API solution”.
At Alea, security is at the core of everything we do. Our commitment to creating a secure, robust and scalable API solution sets a new standard in the iGaming industry, where data protection and system integrity are critical.
