Global non-fungible token (NFT) sales experienced a sharp surge over the past week, climbing 55.6% to approximately $75.54 million compared to $48.55 million in the preceding period. According to data captured by CryptoSlam, the market expansion occurred alongside a 20.38% rise in buyer addresses (reaching 273,655) and an 18.09% increase in seller addresses (totaling 291,266). Interestingly, total transactions fell by 14.77% to 650,332, reflecting a higher average transaction value of roughly $116 compared to $64 previously.
Blockchain Network Performance and BNB Chain Surge
The most notable shift across the multi-chain ecosystem was BNB Chain’s dramatic surge, overtaking Ethereum to claim the top spot.
- BNB Chain: Recorded a staggering 1,042% increase in organic sales to reach approximately $32.75 million, with buyer addresses climbing 30.84% to 22,132 and minimal wash trading reported.
- Ethereum: Ranked second with $18.94 million in organic sales, marking a 14.23% decline despite a 21.13% rise in buyer addresses to 40,098.
- Polygon: Followed in third place with $7.29 million in organic sales (up 6.12%) and led all chains with 94,731 buyer addresses, alongside $18.73 million in wash trading.
- Bitcoin: Secured fourth place with $5.87 million in sales, down 34.20%, while buyer addresses grew 28.95% to 13,103.
- Base: Placed fifth after sales jumped 36.59% to $4.23 million, supported by a 64.50% surge in buyer addresses.
- Solana: Completed the leading networks with $1.91 million in organic sales, up 9.99%, and 47,853 buyer addresses.
Top Collections and High-Value Sales
Polygon-based Courtyard maintained its position as the leading NFT collection, pulling in $6.32 million—accounting for approximately 8.4% of total global volume. It was followed by Base-based Beezie with $2.64 million and Ethereum’s Argonauts with $2.07 million. CryptoPunks, Blokyz, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Guild of Guardians Heroes rounded out the weekly collection leaders.
At the high end of the market, Bitcoin-based BRC-20 assets dominated marquee sales. A $REWD BRC-20 NFT recorded the single largest transaction of the week, changing hands for 10 BTC (valued at approximately $796,863). Another asset from the $X@AI BRC-20 collection took second place with a 5.1158 BTC sale ($394,346), closely followed by CryptoPunks #1839, which sold for 161.5 ETH ($394,320).
