Genius Sports and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) have extended their strategic partnership for another 7 years to 2032.

By signing this lucrative partnership extension, Genius Sports positions itself to remain the exclusive distributor of official data by the NCAA to licensed US sports betting operators.

This means that sports betting operators who are a part of the Authorized Gaming Licensee program (AGL) will get exclusive access to official branding assets and data feeds by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which is all part of the contract extension.

Additionally, the AGL will also enable Genius Sports to work closely with sports betting operators to ensure and comply with safety standards, limit high-risk betting markets, and promote responsible gambling. All of this is with the purpose of maintaining fair and transparent play across college sports.

Moreover, this lucrative partnership also seeks to introduce the latest cutting-edge innovation designed by Genius Sports, the AI-machine-learning platform GeniusIQ, specifically designed to enhance the LiveStates offerings.

A platform purposefully created to deliver performance insights and real-time analytics for the coaching staff and bring an improved and data-driven experience for players and fans.

At the moment of writing, the LiveStats platform of the NCAA supports more than 70,000 games per year, and as one of the largest of its kind, is used by coaches, conferences, and schools across the United States.

Mark Locke, Chief Executive Officer of Genius Sports, expressed pride in the way the company managed to transform the college sports data ecosystem, praising the NCAA and highlighting that this partnership is built on innovation, integrity, and shared commitment:

Since 2018, Genius Sports’ technology has transformed the college sports data ecosystem. This extension is a powerful endorsement of our vision – delivering cutting-edge data solutions to support NCAA schools while connecting our sportsbook partners with the highest quality NCAA official content, alongside our exclusive NFL and Premier League rights. Most importantly, it’s a partnership grounded in innovation, integrity and a shared commitment to the future of collegiate athletics.

The agreement follows a strong financial performance by Genius Sports in 2024, which saw a 38% rise in Q4 revenue and increased profitability across its core business segments.
