Scientific Games has extended its strategic partnership with the Florida Lottery for another three years.

One of the longest-standing partnerships in the industry, Scientific Games has been the exclusive supplier of scratch card games for the Florida Lottery ever since the inception of the lottery operator back in 1988.

Scientific Games became the permanent partner of the Florida Lottery in 1997, and during this 37-year-old partnership, the sales of the Florida Lottery Scratch-Off have increased from $584 million to more than $6 billion.

Moreover, this partnership allows the Florida Lottery to use the cutting-edge services of Scientific Games, including portfolio management, logistic optimization, licensed brand technology services, game planning, and analytics.

John Shulz, President of Americas and Global Instant Products for Scientific Games, commented on the development and expressed delight with the continuation of the partnership and with the prospect of improving instant games in Florida.

The Florida Lottery’s partnership and collaboration with Scientific Games has resulted in Scratch-Off performance that is consistently among the best in the world. We’re very proud that our work together has continually improved instant game profits to benefit education in Florida.

On the same note, John F. Davis, Florida Lottery Secretary, echoed Shulz’s sentiment and said that this partnership is crucial for public education in Florida, stating that the revenues for the improvement of this sector and as a result of the collaboration reached $48 billion.

Our mission is to maximise revenues for the enhancement of public education in Florida, which have totalled more than $48bn thus far. Since 1997, we’ve helped send more than one million Florida students to college on a Bright Futures Scholarship. By extending our Scratch-Off games partnership with Scientific Games, we will continue to put our students’ dreams of higher education within reach.

In related news, Scientific Games is in the bidding process along with Flutter to sign a partnership with the Italian Lottery. Moreover, the company recently signed a 10-year supplier deal with the New Mexico Lottery, and introduced self-service terminal at Iowa Lottery retailers at the beginning of March.
