The Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) of Brazil’s Ministry of Finance has signed a five-year Technical Cooperation Agreement with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360).

This development marks yet another major step in Brazil’s efforts to battle fraud and match-fixing in sports betting.

The historic partnership, which was announced today, is the fifth such agreement between the SPA with other integrity-oriented organizations, following similar deals signed in October 2024.

Consequently, as a result of this five-year collaboration, IC360 will work closely with the Brazilian SPA to increase transparency and security in the ever-growing sports betting market of Brazil.

Moreover, the partnership will also focus on monitoring, data exchange, and above all, raising awareness around sports betting integrity, thus boosting the transparency around this vulnerable sector.

As such, IC360 will provide its expertise to help the Brazilian SPA pinpoint potential cases of match-fixing and other fraudulent activities that pose a serious threat to the credibility of the betting realm.

Scott Sadin, Chief Operating Officer at IC360, commented on this development and highlighted its mission to curb suspicious betting activity and match-fixing.

Our mission is to foster a culture of accountability and provide a detection and early warning system for all stakeholders to ensure that integrity is respected and sustainable for the Brazilian community.

Similarly, SPA Secretary Regis Dudena underlined the importance of this strategic partnership, saying that “entities such as IC360” play a crucial role in the battle of the SPA against illegal betting activity and match-fixing.

Integrity entities such as IC360 play a fundamental role in supporting SPA’s activities, especially in identifying signs of match-fixing and facilitating the structured exchange of information. With this agreement, SPA and its partner agencies will expand their monitoring and inspection capabilities, promoting greater security and transparency in the sector.

This development comes during a period of increased regulatory reforms introduced via the 2025–26 agenda of the SPA, which in turn includes improved anti-money laundering initiatives.

The government of Brazil is adamant that by improving the integrity of the sports betting sector is the country can ensure a transparent and fair environment for both operators and players alike.
