Christian Polsäter, the long-serving Director of Sports at LeoVegas, has announced he will be stepping down from his position after eight years with the company.

Mr. Polsäter stated he is set to move on to a “new challenge,” though the details of his next role have not yet been specified.

Mr. Polsäter first joined LeoVegas in 2017 as a Sports Manager for the Swedish market. He was promoted to Head of Sportsbook a year later, a role which he eventually expanded to cover the entire group, before becoming the Director of Sports for the last four and a half years.

In a statement reflecting on his departure, Polsäter thanked his colleagues and expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he had at the company.

LeoVegas has been a fantastic place to grow, and I’m proud to have been part of the Sportsbook team through some exciting times,” he said.

His resignation is the latest in a series of high-profile executive changes at LeoVegas since its acquisition by MGM Resorts in 2022. T

he departure closely follows those of Chief Commercial Officer Chris Welch and Co-Founder & CEO Gustaf Hagman, signaling a significant period of transition for the company’s leadership.

These changes come as LeoVegas shifts its strategic focus, which was highlighted by the recent launch of its new proprietary sportsbook in the Danish market.

Mr. Polsäter noted this new chapter in his farewell, stating, “As the company enters a new chapter with its own proprietary sportsbook, I’m confident it’s in great hands.”
