Light & Wonder Inc has officially launched the inaugural title in its new TimeLink franchise, Pyramid Dawn. Developed by Lightning Box studio, the release marks the beginning of a broader online slot series designed to extend gameplay sessions through escalating bonus mechanics and unique persistence features.
Persistence and Recurring Bonuses
The new 1,024-ways slot introduces what the studio calls Perceived Persistence. In the base game, “Active Rings” can land on the outer reels and remain for three spins. When a “Scatter Train” aligns with these rings, it triggers respins that can award cash prizes across the central reels, with wins potentially repeating up to nine times.
The primary engagement driver is the TimeLink Feature, activated by filling the “Time Train Meter.” This bonus round begins with three spins and up to five active rows, allowing players to collect cash prizes, increase values via “Scatter Clocks,” and unlock the “Jackpot Collection” at the conclusion of the round.
Strategic Rollout for Caesars Partners
Michael Maokhamphiou, Studio Director at Lightning Box, commented on the title’s commercial goals:
“The game’s mechanics are intended to keep momentum high through the course of play. The title also combines jackpots and features that provide meaningful commercial value for operator partners.”
Light & Wonder has opted for a controlled launch phase, making the game available exclusively to Caesars customers in select North American markets: New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario. This targeted rollout of Pyramid Dawn allows the firm to assess the franchise’s performance before a wider global release later this year.
