Gameplay mechanics and expanding symbols
Content provider Just Slots has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of Book of Maniac 500, a high volatility online slot featuring five reels and ten paylines. Set against a creepy deserted campsite backdrop, the game blends traditional expanding symbol and free spins mechanics with dynamic multipliers that increase following bonus retriggers, offering a maximum win potential of 500,000x.
During base gameplay, special expanding symbols can trigger randomly, receiving multipliers of up to 100x and expanding across all ten paylines without requiring adjacent positions.
Landing three, four, or five wild symbols awards ten free spins accompanied by a starting multiplier and expanding symbol. Four wilds guarantee a starting multiplier of at least 2x, while five wilds elevate the minimum starting multiplier to 10x. Before entering the bonus round, players can choose to accept their awarded feature or utilize three gamble wheels to upgrade their expanding symbol or starting multiplier, noting that unsuccessful gambles forfeit the feature and return the player to the base game.
Additionally, players can access themed bonus buy options or utilize the HotSpin Ember feature to increase free spin trigger frequencies.
