Playtech, a leading iGaming software provider, has officially launched its online casino games in West Virginia, marking the fourth US state where its content is now available.

Major operators in the state, including DraftKings, BetMGM, and Rush Street Interactive, have partnered with Playtech to offer its games to their players.

Through these new partnerships, players in West Virginia will now have access to Playtech’s wide range of online content, which includes popular casino slots, RNG games, and live dealer games.

This move into West Virginia is part of Playtech’s ongoing global expansion. The company has also recently signed deals to provide its poker games in France and to supply its content to operators like Hard Rock Digital in New Jersey and High Roller in Ontario, Canada.

Jonathan Doubilet, Playtech VP US Business Operations, commented on the launch:

Our expansion into this regulated iGaming state reflects our strong strategic focus on delivering engaging, innovative and responsible entertainment to players, while supporting our partners with the latest in gaming technology. Supporting our customers across all regulated states and countries in which they operate is at the heart of what we do. The trust and confidence they place in us as an agile and scalable partner is what helps in meeting the demands of the ever-expanding US iGaming industry.

He added that a key to their success is being a flexible partner that can meet the demands of the growing US iGaming industry.

Online casino gaming is currently legal in seven US states. According to the American Gaming Association, the US commercial gaming industry made over $72 billion in 2024, with online casinos accounting for nearly $8 billion of that total.

The market has proven to be so valuable that other forms of online gaming, such as sweepstakes casinos, are popular even in states where traditional online casinos are not yet regulated.
