Italian Gaming Leader Secures UNI ISO 37301:2021 Certification and Completes Transition to UNI ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Standards
Lottomatica Group has strengthened its corporate governance system by reaching two significant compliance milestones: obtaining the UNI ISO 37301:2021 certification for its Compliance Management System for the first time, and completing the transition to UNI ISO 37001:2025 for its Anti-Bribery Management System. Both systems were certified by RINA, with the compliance certification granted under ACCREDIA accreditation.
The scope of these certifications covers the parent company alongside its main concessionaires and operating entities across the retail, online, and gaming sectors.
The UNI ISO 37301:2021 standard evaluates an organization’s structured ability to manage legal, regulatory, contractual, and industry obligations within a unified framework. Launched in September 2025, the project integrates various compliance controls to ensure methodological uniformity and cross-functional oversight. This framework complements existing risk management tools, including the Italian Legislative Decree 231 Model, the Enterprise Risk Management Model, and the Code of Ethics.
Executive Leadership Perspective
Francesco Lauria, Chief Risk, Ethics & Compliance Officer and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Officer at Lottomatica, highlighted the significance of the achievement:
“I am particularly proud of this important milestone, which demonstrates Lottomatica’s ongoing commitment to pursuing excellence and strengthening the effectiveness of its governance, risk management, and compliance systems. This result also represents a further step forward in the Group’s path toward growth, consolidation, and continuous improvement.”
By securing the UNI ISO 37301:2021 certification, Lottomatica joins an elite group of FTSE MIB index companies holding this recognition and becomes the first gaming operator in Italy to achieve the designation. Comprehensive audits conducted by RINA verified the operational effectiveness of internal controls and the integration of compliance safeguards into daily business activities.
