Stake, a prominent online gaming operator and one of the biggest iGaming brands has appointed Thomas Carvalhaes as its Brazil Country Manager after receiving the neccessary accreditation to legally offer its services in the newly-opened Brazilian market.

Carvalhaes has an extensive experience in the iGaming realm, which is why Stake has put him in charge of leading a team of 10 Brazilian employees, further supported by Stake’s massive global staff of 1,000 individuals.

The team led by Carvalhaes will have the task of ensuring compliance with Brazil’s newly launched regulatory framework and providing localizing operations specifically for the Brazilian market.

To achieve this, Stake has recently partnered with established brands and reputable organizations, including popular entities such as the UFC, Juventude Football Club, and Brazilian racing drivers and grandsons of F1 legend and two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi, Enzo and Pietro Fittipaldi.

Speaking on the prospect of leading Stake’s Brazilian branch, Thomas Carvalhaes expressed his excitement for the opportunity to work with a brand that “has the ability to innovate and find the right opportunities.”

I am taking the lead of a brand that has the ability to innovate and find the right opportunities to speak with the right audience, which is something really powerful and definitely a winning combination.

*Interesting fact: Brazil is the second-largest market globally for Stake, with its operations currently based in São Paulo.

Prior to receiving the accreditation, Stake has forged several strategic partnerships with the purpose of expanding its rich entertainment portfolio.

This includes agreements with Sugar Heaven, Just Slots, and previously with Hub88 in a bid that saw the leading operator integrating iGaming content from more than 120 software providers from around the world.
