Light & Wonder, a leading provider of casino entertainment, has appointed Simon Johnson as the new Chief Executive Officer of its iGaming department, effective immediately.

Up to now, Johnson has been serving as Senior Vice President and International Managing Director at Light & Wonder since 2017, playing a pivotal role in advancing the commercial operations of the company across worldwide gaming markets.

In his new role as CEO of iGaimng, Johnson will report to the President and CEO of Light & Wonder Matt Wilson and will join the Executive Leadership Team of the company.

Prior to joining Light & Wonder, Johnson amassed extensive upper-management experience across various business sectors and industries. His professional journey started in investment banking where he specialized in cross-border transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Moreover, Johnson also has extensive experience in occupying leadership roles in financial technology, private equity, and telecommunication businesses that include everything from start-ups to FTSE100 and Fortune 500 multinational conglomerates.

Light & Wonder is constantly at the forefront of the industry, and as such, it is frequently in the news for partnering with other leading iGaming brands from all across the world.

One such is the latest strategic collaboration with the Bragg Gaming Group. This lucrative partnership enabled Light & Wonder to integrate Bragg’s top-tier entertainment and become available on the aggregation offering of Light & Wonder.

Consequently, this resulted in L&W integrating content from some of Bragg’s most popular iGaming studios such as Spin Games, Wild Streak Gaming, Indigo Magic, and Atomic Slot Lab.

The CEO of Bragg Gaming Group, Matevž Mazij, commented on this historic deal and praised L&W’s reputation as “a world-leading platform and games”, further saying that Bragg is bound to enjoy “huge benefits” from this lucrative partnership.
