Leadership Shift Allows CEE Chief Commercial Officer to Focus on Regional Expansion Across Poland, Serbia, and Greece
Romanian gambling multinational Super Technologies, the operator of Superbet, has promoted Andrei Popa to the role of General Manager for Romania. As part of this strategic leadership transition, Adam Lamentowicz, Super’s Chief Commercial Officer for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), will delegate Romania’s expansion strategy to Popa, allowing increased focus on business growth across Poland, Serbia, and Greece.
Lamentowicz previously highlighted the CEE region’s importance as a gaming hub, describing it as an area with a “passion and legacy of talent in various sports” that lays a strong foundation for stable and lucrative betting markets.
Expanding Operations and Multi-Brand Transformation
As an internal appointee, Popa has worked closely with Lamentowicz over the past three years in his capacities as VP of Online and VP of Commercial. During this time, his responsibilities included steering the company’s transformation from the single-branded Superbet into a comprehensive multi-brand network that encompasses Napoleon Games, Superscore, and Maxbet, alongside the recent corporate rebranding to Super Technologies.
In his new role, Popa will be tasked with sustaining long-term performance in Romania, which stands as one of Super’s core and most complex markets due to its combination of a vast local retail shop network and an extensive online presence.
Executive Perspectives
On his promotion, Andrei Popa, General Manager of Super Romania, stated:
“I’m deeply grateful to Super and to every person who has contributed to what we have accomplished in Romania. 10 years ago, I joined a company that was building something genuinely ambitious in a market that many underestimated. Today, we have built a four-brand ecosystem in Romania, powered by the Super Technologies engine, and we firmly believe there is still substantial room for growth.”
Popa added:
“My focus will be on making Romania the market where Super’s boldest ideas come to life first by transforming our customer centric mindset into an even stronger engine of growth. This includes building the capabilities to gather deeper customer insights that continuously improve our products, as well as creating unique and immersive experiences for entertainment enthusiasts that can be leveraged across our global markets.”
Beyond his corporate work at Super, Popa’s professional background includes founding Data Talks, a Romanian community of professionals focused on data analytics, and organizing one of the country’s largest annual business intelligence conferences.
