Light & Wonder has officially appointed Matthieu Labbat as Chief Executive Officer of SciPlay, its social gaming division. Backed by a proven track record of executive leadership, strategic innovation, and a strong history of delivering exceptional player experiences, Labbat will helm SciPlay as the company continues to develop the world’s most engaging social casino games and accelerate long-term commercial growth.
Labbat steps into the role following a distinguished career within the mobile gaming sector. Most recently, he spent over seven and a half years with Product Madness, the mobile gaming division of Aristocrat, where he played a pivotal role in scaling operations and expanding product reach.
Prior to that, Labbat honed his expertise as a game developer and strategist during a nearly five-year tenure with major mobile games developer King. He succeeds Josh Wilson, whose departure from the segment was announced in September, with Labbat formally taking the reins to guide SciPlay into its next phase of digital evolution.
