The Pittsburgh city lights at night, symbolizing the vibrant growth of Pennsylvania's land-based and online gaming sectors.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported a remarkable month for the state’s gambling industry, with total combined revenue from all forms of gaming reaching $597 million in October.

This performance represents a robust 20.22% increase year-over-year and an 11.4% rise from September 2025. The headline success of the month was the iGaming sector, which shattered previous records by generating $251 million in revenue.

The breakdown of the online gaming figures reveals widespread growth across digital verticals. Online slots were the primary driver, contributing $190.8 million, while online table games generated $57.8 million.

Online poker also contributed $2.5 million to the pot. This $251 million total represents a massive 32.8% increase compared to the previous year, comfortably surpassing the prior record of $238.2 million set in March 2025.

The tax revenue generated from iGaming alone totaled $112.7 million, underscoring the sector’s importance to the state budget, simultaneously contributing to the online gaming revenue of the state Pennsylvania.

In the land-based sector, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led the market with $114.5 million in revenue, marking a 38.7% year-over-year increase.

Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with $101.3 million, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Parx Casino also posted healthy gains.

Retail slot revenue across the state totaled $203.5 million, a slight 1.4% increase, despite a small reduction in the number of slot machines in operation compared to October 2024. Retail table games also saw growth, rising 3% to generate $76 million.

The PGCB remains active in its regulatory duties alongside reporting these financial gains.

The Board recently approved three consent agreements presented by the Office of Enforcement Counsel, resulting in $72,000 in fines issued for various incidents at casinos and Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) establishments, ensuring that record revenues are matched by strict compliance oversight.
