Event Organiser WorldGaming Expands Expo Footprint to Highlight AI, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cyber Security
Industry event organiser WorldGaming has officially confirmed the introduction of a new Digital and FinTech Transformation Hall for the 2027 edition of the ICE Barcelona expo. Positioned inside Hall 7 at the Fira Gran Via, the newly designated zone is designed to act as a focused B2B platform for global technology, data analytics, and financial technology leaders.
WorldGaming has opened the official application window for prospective exhibitors, earmarking the floor space for global enterprises specializing in artificial intelligence, data systems, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. The hall will also highlight businesses working across regulatory compliance and real-time customer engagement systems.
Targeted Engagement Across the Wider Technology Ecosystem
The introduction of Hall 7 signals an intentional effort by event organizers to welcome new exhibitors from outside traditional gambling backgrounds. WorldGaming is actively pursuing engagement with the broader digital technology ecosystem to address the ongoing commercial convergence between gaming, enterprise computing, corporate data management, payment gateways, and fintech.
To add educational depth to the exhibition floor, the new hall will feature a dedicated conference track featuring targeted panel discussions and corporate presentations.
Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director for ICE Barcelona, outlined the strategic framework behind the expansion:

To ensure commercial relevance, ICE has formed a specialized industry advisory board to shape the hall’s floor contents, visitor experiences, and exhibitor propositions. The executive board features prominent technology and product leads, including:
- Yiannis Stavroulakis: Chief Technology Officer at Novibet.
- Satty Bhens: Chief Product and Technology Officer at Entain.
- Chris Conroy: Chief Data and Product Officer at Future Anthem.
- Cris Kuehl: Chief Data, Information, and AI Officer at Continent 8 Technologies.
- Konstantinos Papakonstantinou: Head of AI at Betano operator Kaizen Gaming.
Corporate Collaborations and Charity Initiatives
The 2027 rollout will also feature continued analytical insights from Microsoft. Iulia Bolea, Microsoft’s Territory Lead for iGaming and Entertainment in the UK, has joined the advisory board following the tech giant’s successful management of the ICE Innovator Challenge during the 2026 expo. Dunn added that this collective executive input guarantees a solution-driven environment focused on the day-to-day issues confronting modern technology directors.
In addition to the software showcases, ICE Barcelona 2027 is introducing a high-profile charity boxing event aimed at raising €150,000 for philanthropic causes. The three-day global trade convention will take place from January 18–20, 2027, at the world-class Fira Gran Via exhibition center.
