Nordic Partners Gaming (NPG) has announced an interactive Esports Zone activation for the upcoming AffPapa Conference Cancun 2026, scheduled to take place in Mexico from November 23 to 25. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to test their skills and play directly against professional Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Lukas “FreeZe” Hegmann.
Bringing competitive esports to the iGaming conference floor
The Esports Zone activation aims to make competitive gaming a hands-on component of the AffPapa Conference Cancun 2026 rather than a passive spectator experience. Throughout the three-day event, visitors can step behind the gaming setup, challenge FreeZe directly, and explore the competitive side of Counter-Strike 2.
Hegmann brings an impressive competitive background to the event, having played around 8,000 matches with a 57% career win rate across major organizations like BIG, BIG Academy, and ALTERNATE aTTaX. In addition to the matches, NPG will run an exclusive jersey giveaway, offering participants an official Nordic Partners Gaming jersey.
Executive commentary
Håvard Lehn, Co-Founder and CEO of Nordic.Partners Group, stated:
“We want people to experience esports, not just hear about it. Bringing FreeZe to AffPapa Cancun gives attendees a chance to get behind the screen, challenge a professional player, and see the competitive side of Counter-Strike for themselves. It’s also a great way to bring the esports and iGaming communities closer together.”
Levon Nikoghosyan, CEO and Founder of AffPapa, added:
“We want to make AffPapa Conference Cancun an experience where people can do more than just attend panels and meetings. Having NPG bring competitive Counter-Strike into the event gives attendees a chance to get involved and connect with the esports community in a different way. It’s a great addition to the conference, and we’re looking forward to seeing attendees take part.”
